Hi, I'm Jessie!
Hello! I grew up in rural northern Wisconsin playing sports, running through the woods, swimming in lakes and rivers, riding horses, and gardening. I moved when I was 18 for college and never stopped traveling. I have a Bachelor's of Science in Human Services- Public Health and a Master's of Education in Counseling. I have worked in multiple elementary schools and colleges learning and teaching about connection and development. I earned several outdoor emergency certifications before becoming an EMT and have volunteered with multiple search and rescue groups. I've ran several science and leadership summer camps and have coached elementary basketball and baseball, am a yoga teacher, and am Zumba certified. Most recently, I worked in Elementary Special Education teaching literacy and math.
I have always been inspired by the joy and imagination children bring to life, and am energized by the excitement they radiate when I get to teach them about the things I love!
Until becoming a mother, I "adopted" several children who needed love and positive experiences. I am very excited to bring that same love to your children!
I am married to a lovely human, Señor Peck, a 5th grade Spanish Immersion teacher, and we have one daughter. When we are not at work, we are exploring Utah, the US, and the world! You'll likely find us on our skis, bikes, man-powered water-crafts, or backpacking! We love learning about different cultures and meeting people from all walks of life!
I also enjoy gardening, and I have too many house plants to count!I I love running and competing in races. We love being social and hosting friends and family for potlucks and board games.
I hope that I can be more than a childcare provider for your family, and that you view us as friends you can grow with!
