Learning through Play
At Backyard Buddies Childcare, we believe that children learn best through play. I provide a hands-on, experience-rich environment where children feel safe, have fun, and can freely express themselves. This approach helps children grow into well-rounded, ready-to-learn individuals. Our daily activities include circle time with dancing and singing, reading a wide variety of books together, and lessons on patience, kindness, and getting along with others. We spend time learning about the days of the week, letters, numbers, colors, shapes, etc. We also focus on life skills like being responsible, cleaning up after ourselves, sharing, and helping each other.
Getting Dirty!
Grounding is proven to have healing properties, help with stress reduction, and can help improve sleep patterns. Playing with dirt, plants, trees, bugs, water and snow helps children to be more grounded and to connect to the world around them while developing strength, balance, coordination, curiosity, and friendships.
